The pop icon, known for turning December into her runway, was spotted browsing Gucci’s Aspen boutique on Dec. 21 in a head-to-toe designer look with a jaw-dropping price tag of $17,000.

For her snowy-day outing, the five-time Grammy winner donned a knit set straight from Gucci’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection: a ribbed wool tank dress and an oversized cardigan, retailing for $2,100 and $14,900, respectively. The ensemble, which has already sold out online, featured subtle shimmer and beaded fringe details—a fitting touch for the woman who practically invented the modern Christmas aesthetic.

Thus, Carey, 55, layered the creamy knitwear with metallic tights and accessorized with a silver statement necklace, proving that even après-ski fashion can have a touch of diva-worthy glamour. She topped it off with Gucci’s rib-knit wool lamé beanie, an effortlessly chic finishing touch against Aspen’s winter chill. Her signature honey-blonde locks cascaded sleek and straight beneath the hat, while her makeup exuded a radiant holiday glow, complete with her signature glossy lip.

This festive shopping excursion comes fresh from her Christmas Time Tour, which wrapped Dec. 17 in Brooklyn. While the tour celebrated holiday nostalgia, it wasn’t without its challenges. Mariah Carey was forced to cancel three shows due to illness.
