Beyoncé and JAY-Z Hold Hands During Rare Date Night
During a romantic date night over the weekend, Beyoncé and Jay-Z displayed some infrequent PDA. In fresh photographs taken outside the Italian eatery Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica on Sunday night, the pair were spotted leaving supper hand in hand.
In contrast to Jay, who chose an all-black ensemble consisting of a black t-shirt, coat, and jeans, the “Break My Soul” singer donned a navy blue patterned sweatshirt over a blue skirt. For the chilly Los Angeles night, he accessorized the ensemble with a black knit beanie. It is not surprising that the two were in good spirits as they departed the restaurant because their night out was only a few days after they made GRAMMY’s history.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z are now officially equal with 88 nominations each for the most-nominated artists in GRAMMYs history, it was discovered after the Recording Academy’s nominees for the 65th Annual GRAMMY Awards were announced earlier this month. With 28 career victories to date, Beyoncé is also the most Grammy-awarded female artist ever. She also holds the record for the most Record of the Year nominations, with eight, including this year for “Bruise My Soul “
Jay added five nominations to Bey’s nine overall nominations for the 2019 GRAMMYs. Beyoncé would equal the record for the most GRAMMY wins ever if she wins three of the nine nominations she received at the next awards show in February. If she wins four, she will hold the record by herself.
Bey received nominations for Album of the Year, Best R&B Performance for “Virgo’s Groove,” Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Plastic Off the Sofa,” Best R&B Song for “Cuff It,” and Best Song Written for Visual Media for King Richard’s “Be Alive” in addition to Record and Song of the Year awards for “Break My Soul” and “Song of the Year” for “Break My Soul.”
For “Break My Soul” and Renaissance, respectively, she received her first-ever career nominations in the categories of Best Dance/Electronic Recording and Best Dance/Electronic Music Album.
