Hulu Cancels Diddy’s Family Reality Show Amid Sexual Assault Lawsuits

Hulu has reportedly canceled a reality show centered around Sean Combs, popularly known as Diddy, and his family. The show, titled Diddy+7, was in the early stages of development and was being produced by James Corden’s Fulwell 73. The decision to shelve the project comes amid the recent sexual assault lawsuits against Diddy.

Diddy has been facing legal challenges since Cassie filed a lawsuit on November 16, and although a settlement was reached with her the following day, three more lawsuits have followed. Diddy has vehemently denied all allegations in his only public statement on December 6.

This cancellation adds to the growing list of repercussions Diddy has faced, including his stepping down from the position of Chairman at Revolt, the media company he co-founded in 2013. Rolling Stone previously reported, 18 brands have reportedly severed ties with Diddy’s newly launched Empower Global, an e-commerce marketplace for Black-owned businesses.

The fate of Diddy’s nomination for Best Progressive R&B Album at the 2024 Grammys remains uncertain. The Recording Academy provided a statement, stating, “We are taking this matter very seriously, and we are in the process of evaluating it with the time and care that it deserves.”
