Tom Holland Shares The Teaser of The New Spider-Man Movie

Tom Holland is officially back in the Spidey suit. And the friendly neighborhood superhero is giving fans a peek at what’s to come.

On Saturday, the British actor marked day one of filming for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.” Thus, he shared details of the much-anticipated fourth installment in his Marvel franchise. Hence, he didn’t miss the opportunity to tease the fans by posting a pair of behind-the-scenes shots on Instagram.

In the photos, Tom Holland stands poised atop a military-style vehicle. Alongside it he is harnessed into a stunt rig and fully suited up in a brand-new version of the iconic Spider-Man costume. “Spider-Man Brand New Day 1,” he captioned the post.

So, the images arrive just hours after Sony Pictures officially unveiled the updated suit. It seems to lean heavily into a classic aesthetic evoking the styles once worn by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

Holland followed the post with a short teaser clip, flashing a grin in costume and asking, “We ready?” Thus, he raised even more excitement around his return.

Tom Holland Returns to Spider-Man

Production on “Brand New Day” kicked off in early August, with Destin Daniel Cretton directing. Also, the longtime Marvel screenwriters Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers are returning to pen the script.

And while plot details remain tightly under wraps, the cast is already shaping up to be a major draw. Mark Ruffalo is set to reprise his role as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. In this way, he is returning to the MCU after “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” in 2022. Michael Mando, last seen as Scorpion in “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” also rejoins the universe. Alongside him, the movie brings back Jon Bernthal as the Punisher.

Adding fresh energy to the ensemble is “Stranger Things” breakout Sadie Sink, whose role is still being kept secret. “Brand New Day” picks up after the emotional events of 2021’s “No Way Home.” It ended with the world forgetting Peter Parker’s identity. The new film will explore the follow-up and the next chapter in Holland’s Spider-Man journey.

Fans can expect to swing back into theaters when “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” hits the big screen on July 31, 2026.
