Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Andrea Bocelli are set to headline King Charles’ coronation concert, according to People. Other performers include Take That, Sir Bryn Terfel, Freya Ridings, and Alexis Ffrench, along with a special performance by the Coronation Choir. The BBC Studios Productions-organized event will take place on May 7 on the grounds of Windsor Castle, one day after King Charles and Queen Camilla’s coronation at Westminster Abbey.
The concert will celebrate the four nations, their communities, and the Commonwealth, with themes of love, respect, and optimism. Perry and Richie, both American Idol judges, have ties to the royal family and will perform at the event. The concert will be available to stream on BBC One, BBC iPlayer, BBC Radio 2, and BBC Sounds.
