Gracie Abrams Boldly Takes Home the ‘Assh— of the Year’ Award
Gracie Abrams has boldly claimed the ‘Assh— of the Year’ award in her latest music video for “I Love You, I’m Sorry,” which is featured on her new album, The Secret of Us. The Grammy-nominated singer’s latest visual, released on Wednesday, July 17, showcases her acceptance of her imperfections while she enjoys a carefree day at the beach.
The video captures Abrams engaging in various laid-back activities, such as sipping drinks with friends, feeling the breeze while leaning out of a car window, and relaxing with a book in bed. However, she ends up arriving late to her own award ceremony, where she humorously receives her trophy and cleverly reveals a microphone hidden inside, using it to sing instead of giving a typical acceptance speech.
In her performance, Abrams admits to her faults through her lyrics, singing, “I love you, I’m sorry / You were the best but you were the worst / As sick as it sounds, I loved you first. I was a dick, it is what it is / A habit to kick, the age-old curse.”
Having recently released her second studio album on June 21, Abrams is gearing up for her own global tour titled “THE SECRET OF US TOUR (pt. 1…)” starting this fall through 2025. She shared her excitement about the upcoming shows on Instagram in June, emphasizing her eagerness to reconnect with her fans and the joy of performing live again. Abrams is looking forward to reuniting with her band and crew, thanking her fans for making it possible.
