Julianne Moore and Natalie Portman Bring “Real Housewives” Drama to “Watch What Happens Live”
Oscar-winning actresses Julianne Moore and Natalie Portman, stars of the latest Todd Haynes film, May December, took an unexpected turn on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live. The duo, known for their stellar performances, embraced a more playful side as they recreated a classic ‘Real Housewives’ tussle.
The film, loosely inspired by the controversial case of Mary Kay Letourneau, showcases the actresses’ remarkable talent. However, they didn’t shy away from the challenge of stepping into the drama-filled world of reality TV. Host Andy Cohen guided Moore and Portman into portraying the feisty characters of Lisa Barlow and Monica Garcia from ‘Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,’ known for their on-screen clashes.

In a hilarious and spirited re-enactment, Moore and Portman immersed themselves in the roles, capturing the essence of the Housewives’ notorious confrontations. Moore, in particular, added flair by elongating the name “Lisa” in a way that added a humorous touch to the performance.
While both actresses boast an Academy Award each for their outstanding work in Still Alice and Black Swan, respectively, they proved that they are not above parody. Moore previously showcased her lighter side on “Billy on the Street,” where she performed scenes from her movies for unsuspecting strangers. Portman, on the other hand, has embraced humor, even rapping about her personal life on Saturday Night Live.
The entertaining Real Housewives re-enactment adds a delightful twist to the promotion of “May December,” which is currently available for streaming on Netflix. Julianne Moore and Natalie Portman’s playful banter on “Watch What Happens Live” demonstrates their versatility as actresses and their willingness to engage in fun and unexpected moments.
