Demi Lovato Reveals The Release Date of Her New Song
Demi Lovato is ready to hit the gas on a brand new chapter in her music career. On Monday, July 28, the Grammy-nominated singer took to Instagram to reveal the release date for her upcoming single “Fast.” The new song is going to be a high-energy, EDM-inspired track dropping this Friday, August 1.
Thus, the ex-Nickelodeon star made a post sharing a behind-the-scenes glimpse. It appears to be the song’s music video shoot with a cheeky caption.“me when I serve my favorite dish… FAST OUT FRIDAY 8.1.”
Demi Lovato also confirmed the news on her Instagram Story, writing, “A new era has arrived.” After that, she nodded to her fans with a message. “I know I shouldn’t have kept you waiting … but I’m here now.”

The singer has been teasing the single for weeks, building anticipation with short previews and cryptic captions. In one of the snippets, Lovato’s unmistakable vocals float over a pulsing electronic. Thus, she sings: “I wanna go fast. I wanna go hard. I wanna go anywhere, anywhere you are.”
“Fast” serves as the first taste of Lovato’s return to mainstream pop following. Hence, it follows the 2022 pivot to rock with Holy Fvck, and its follow-up, Revamped. The song reimagined her early hits in punk-leaning arrangements. Hence, both albums received critical praise for showcasing a rawer side of Lovato’s artistry. This new era promises a more playful and liberated sound.
In a recent Rolling Stone interview, producer Zhone teased the upcoming project as a full-length “celebratory dance-pop” album, describing it as “an invitation to let go of inhibitions.” He added, “We had so much fun making this music — it’s Demi at her most free and electric.”
With “Fast” just days away, Lovato is officially back in the driver’s seat — and pop fans should buckle up.
