Sabrina Carpenter Announces The Release of a New Album
Sabrina Carpenter isn’t slowing down anytime soon. The 25-year-old pop sensation has announced her next album, “Man’s Best Friend,” slated for release on August 29.
The Grammy winner broke the news Wednesday (June 11) via Instagram. Carpenter revealed both the title and provocative cover art. In the image, Carpenter appears on her knees in black stilettos, held by a man gripping a fistful of her hair. Thus, the bold visual signals a new chapter in her artistic evolution. “i can’t wait for it to be yours x,” she captioned the post.

“Man’s Best Friend” will feature 12 tracks, including the already-buzzing lead single “Manchild.” Sabrina Carpenter dropped earlier this month and is expected to make a strong debut on the Billboard Hot 100. The cheeky, country-infused pop track finds Carpenter in full command, taking aim at emotionally immature men with a wink and a bite.
“Manchild, why you always come a-running to me? / F–k my life, won’t you let an innocent woman be?” she sings on the hook. “Never heard of self-care / Half your brain just ain’t there.“
So, the new album arrives on the heels of Carpenter’s breakout year. “Short n’ Sweet,” released in August 2024, launched her into full-fledged pop stardom. It featured runaway hits like “Espresso,” “Taste,” and the viral No. 1 single “Please Please Please.” The album marked her first Billboard 200 No. 1, holding the top spot for four weeks. Also, it redefined her image as a bold, witty, and unpredictable voice in contemporary pop.
With Man’s Best Friend, Carpenter seems poised to continue that momentum, embracing both edge and intimacy, humor and heartbreak. If her past year is any indication, this next era might just be her biggest yet.
