Taylor Swift Keeps Fans in Awe of New Release By Messages

As the 2025 American Music Awards draw near, and we wait for news from Taylor Swift, her fanbase is in full investigative mode. That’s why they’re convinced the pop icon has something big up her sleeve for this year’s ceremony.

Speculation came to the scene when fans noticed a subtle detail on Swift’s official online store. The main menu now reads Apparel, Music, Accessories, and Sale. Thus, they are just four simple categories. Yet, when lined up, their first letters spell out one very familiar acronym: AMAs. This kind of intentionality isn’t random for Swifties — it’s a signature move.

The theories don’t stop there. The website currently offers 12 items on sale at 26% off. These are numbers that fans believe are far more than coincidental. Swift’s most recent release, “The Tortured Poets Department,” was her 11th studio album. Thus, fans believe this cryptic sale could be nodding toward album No. 12. Meanwhile, the 2025 American Music Awards air on May 26. So, logically, it is lending more weight to the idea that the discount is a date-based clue.

Taylor Swift and More Hidden Messages

Swift’s official fan engagement team added fuel to the fire with a cryptic X (formerly Twitter) post on May 6. Sharing a message encouraging fans to vote for Swift. She is for six AMAs this year — the caption read:

“And our town, it looks so sMall from wAy up here.”

It seemed like a poetic lyric reference until eagle-eyed fans noticed something else. The random capitalization of M, A, and S in the sentence. Those letters, combined with another capitalized A from a follow-up line. “Screamed, ‘vote for the chairman’ at the night sky!” — spell out AMAs once again.

These hidden clues have sent Swifties into full-on decoding mode. Some believe Taylor Swift is preparing to announce her next original album, potentially titled or themed around 12. Others hope the mystery leads to long-awaited updates on her ongoing re-recording project, possibly the “Reputation.”

“She’s spelling out AMAs on her site, 12 items for 26% off, capital letters hiding ‘AMAs’ in a caption… guys, THESE ARE EASTER EGGS,” one fan posted on X, with another joking, “I think this is enough reasonable clown material.”

If Swift does use the AMAs stage for an announcement, it wouldn’t be without precedent. At the 2022 MTV VMAs, she revealed Midnights, and earlier this year, she announced Tortured Poets while accepting a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album.

For now, the clues may remain unconfirmed, but with Taylor Swift, fans know better than to dismiss the details. Swifties will be watching the AMAs on May 26 with bated breath and magnifying glasses, whether it’s a brand-new album or another step in her re-recording saga.
