Ryan Reynolds Unveils His Favorite Taylor Swift Song
Ryan Reynolds has shared his favorite Taylor Swift song, and it holds a special connection to his family.
During a promotional event for their upcoming film “Deadpool & Wolverine,” Reynolds, along with his co-star Hugh Jackman and director Shawn Levy, participated in a quiz conducted by Variety to see how well they knew each other. While Jackman guessed “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” and Levy chose “Gorgeous” as Reynolds’ preferred tracks, both were mistaken.
Reynolds then clarified that his top choice is “Betty,” a song from Swift’s “Folklore” album that subtly includes the names of his daughters—James, 9, and Inez, 7—as well as the previously undisclosed name of his third daughter with wife Blake Lively.
Swift had revealed during a radio introduction of the song that the characters were named after her friends’ children, adding a personal touch for fans.
Reynolds expressed his delight over this personal nod during a 2021 interview, saying it was an honor to hear his children’s names in the song. He added, “It still strikes me as incredible. I often find myself walking down the street, shaking my head in disbelief that it actually happened.”
