Taylor Swift never misses a chance to celebrate the ones she loves! The pop superstar stepped out in New York City on Saturday, Dec. 28, but it wasn’t just for a date night with boyfriend Travis Kelce—it was also a special celebration for one of her closest friends, designer and stylist Ashley Avignone.
Taylor Swift, 35, joined the birthday festivities at Chez Margaux, an exclusive members-only club in the Meatpacking District, where she and Avignone shared a warm embrace in a cozy, animal-print-clad setting. The intimate party, as seen in photos Avignone shared on Instagram, featured plenty of laughs, a sprinkle-covered birthday cake, and some heartfelt moments between longtime friends.
The cake was a playful highlight of the evening, featuring a cheeky message written in frosting: “Ash is 25 (again).” Avignone, clearly in on the joke, shared the snap on her Instagram Stories with a caption that read, “Who’s counting?” The birthday girl also posted a photo of herself blowing out the candles, captioning it: “Happy birthday to me. Emphasis on the happy 😆.”
Taylor Swift and Avignone’s friendship goes way back—16 years, to be exact. The two met through their mutual friend, actress Emma Stone, and have been inseparable ever since. Avignone has been by Swift’s side for some of her biggest career moments, from appearing in the singer’s “22” music video to celebrating the Fourth of July at Swift’s now-iconic Rhode Island gatherings.
And it’s not just music milestones—Avignone has been a regular at Kansas City Chiefs games, cheering alongside Swift for Kelce. Their most memorable moment? The two besties chugged their drinks on the jumbotron at the 2024 Super Bowl as they watched Kelce and the Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers.
